During my recent business trip to Punakaiki, I had the pleasure of staying at the Punakaiki Rocks Hotel & Garden Bar. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from the stunning Pancake Rocks and the beach, truly immersing you in the vibrant natural beauty of the area. The modern bar was a delightful surprise, where I enjoyed an ample breakfast with my companion-great value and paired nicely with the friendly, engaging staff. We were particularly impressed by the lovely garden bar, perfect for unwinding after a day's adventures exploring the nearby scenic walks and surfing spots. Unfortunately, our room did not match the expectations set by the promotional images; the outdated décor and an old fridge detracted from the overall experience. the positive vibe, coupled with the powerful free WiFi, made it a great pit stop for business discussions amidst the beautiful scenery. Despite some room challenges, I would love to return for the warm ambiance and enchanting nature surrounding the property.
